Show counts are intentionally balanced across the editorial spectrum. Reach is not - middle shows carry larger average audiences (3.2M avg vs 1.7M for left-leaning), so total reach skews M. The Soapbox Index weights every mention by sqrt(reach), which dampens this asymmetry but doesn't erase it - worth knowing when reading the Index number.
